Downtown Ann Arbor has many alleys. Alleys always seem to have a dark feel to them. I guess its the cinematic influence or the fact that not many actually walk down them. However, they are also some of the best places to find lighting variations. This shot became better with the vapour/smoke coming out of a chimney. A dark brooding place like this suddenly transformed into an artistic haven for me and I didn’t want to leave. While I’m writing this post, I’m listening to the score for Cashback by Guy Farley. Its a beautiful piece and its giving me all the creative inspiration I need right now.
