If you’ve ever been to North Campus at the University of Michigan, this striking tower would have caught your eye. Maybe more than just your eye. If you’ve been here long, then you probably don’t think about it much. However, the Lurie Tower is no diminutive being. It houses a 60 bells Grand Carillon and is one of the only 23 such in the world. However, the Burton Tower on Central Campus also has a Grand Carillon, making the University of Michigan host to two out of the twenty three Grand Carillons in the world. Pretty impressive isn’t it?!
