I’ve always wanted a rotary phone. We are heading towards a complete dependence on cell phones. Soon, the harbinger of telephony for the masses will be left behind in the dust. However, if there is one thing I want to hold onto, its a rotary phone. The sound it makes when you turn the dial and its ‘tring tring’ ringing is very special to me. Its a reminder of the old times when there wasn’t call waiting, intercom, or even answering machines. I found this old phone in working condition at the Tobacconist in Nickels Arcade. Its a thing of beauty.
